In Wayanad district of Kerala, India, over 125 people have died and many hundreds are feared trapped after three landslides hit Kerala’s Wayanad district in four hours amid heavy rain. Over 4000 have been hospitalized. Rescue work amidst bad weather and more rains predicted are in progress. Multiple agencies, including NDRF and the Amred forces, have joined the rescue operation. Among the affected areas are Mundakkai, Chooralmala, Attamala and Noolpuzha. Many roads have collapsed and a bridge has been swept away and several areas have become unreachable.
